Stop The Rot is building a bench of contributors. If you can research carefully and write clearly, we want to hear from you.
Who should pitch
People who care about accuracy, can explain a hard idea in plain language, and are willing to apply the same standard to every side of an argument. Journalists, teachers, researchers, students, and sharp generalists are all welcome.
What we publish
- Media literacy: spotting fakes, reading bias, better news habits
- Critical thinking: cognitive bias, fallacies, decision-making
- Fact-checking: viral claims, methods, case studies
- Non-partisan politics: explaining policy without team jerseys
- Technology: algorithms, synthetic media, platform incentives
How to submit
Send a 2–3 paragraph pitch, or a finished draft of 400–1,000 words, to submissions@stop-the-rot.org. Include a short bio. Original work only, with sources. We fact-check what we publish.
We aim to reply within 5–7 business days. Accepted pieces are edited, published with your byline, and shared with readers.
Full guidelines live on our Write for Us page. First-time writers are encouraged to start with a pitch.
